A Beach Gathering

9am: Meet at Shoal Point Park (O’Brien Esplanade, Shoal Point)

9-9.30am (approx.): A moment of reflection together on the sand

9.30-11.30am: Picnic brunch and time together

Please join us at Shoal Point - a beach filled with Caitlin’s laughter and footsteps - to celebrate Caitlin’s life and the beautiful moments we were lucky to share with her.

Earlier in the week, on February 4, we mark what would have been Caitlin’s 30th birthday. We would be grateful for your presence as we honour this milestone.

Dress code: As per Caitlin’s request, we ask for no black to be worn. Pastel colours were Caitlin’s favourite palette, and purple and yellow were her favourite colours. Above all, wear whatever makes you feel comfortable.

Chairs: Please feel free to bring chairs or a picnic blanket, as seating may be limited.

Flowers: Guests wanting to bring flowers may do so - they can either be placed in the water or left at her plaque (located on the edge of the beach). This is absolutely optional.

Brunch: Food will be provided. Please BYO drinks.

Wet Weather: The event will go ahead, rain or shine; it will only be cancelled in the event of dangerous weather. An alternate location will be decided for brunch on the day if needed.

Shoal Point Beach: Features a playground for little ones, or particularly playful adults. There is free parking and accessible toilets available at the beach, although there is limited seating.

Pets and children are welcome.

Guests are also welcome to go for a swim during the morning - our family have jumped into the ocean in our clothes more than once.
